Other TPM for Open Platforms
There are TPM available on open platforms, which we
(ZOIS) have not actually used and therefore, perhaps
surprisingly, know little about.
- Tibco. This one has an interesting configuration language based on LISP
- UniKix. Touched on briefly in the page on CICS. This TPM has is now owned by SUN.
- UTM, or more properly Open UTM as it is styled by Siemens, its vendor. This is a port to UNIX or the their Mainframe TPM Programming Interface (also known as UTM). Open UTM is based on a toolkit itself based on Tuxedo.
- ACMSxp is Compaq's open TPM. It is based on the VMS TPM ACMS and like CICS on open platforms is based on the Encina Toolkit and DCE. It is available on several non-Compaq platforms, including Solaris and HP-UX as well as Windows NT.
